On Saturday May 15th 2016, Butler Veterinary Clinic hosted the first annual 5k Mutt Strut at the Valentine Fish Hatchery! We were beyond thrilled with the turn out! We had 54 people walking 21 dogs for the Mutt Strut!

Special thanks to Josie and Preston Kelly and their grandmother Betty Kudnra for making these awesome bandannas for the BWBR dogs at the walk!
The 5k Mutt Strut raised almost $200 and over 100lbs of dog food (2lbs of food per Mutt Strut Participant donated by Drs. Wood and Butler). The Mutt Strut also celebrated the end of the Paws to Life challenge sponsored by Butler Veterinary Clinic and Valentine Health & Fitness! Dr. Butler won the title of "biggest loser" followed by Kim Buckendahl for the human weight loss contest. Both of our winners donated their portions of the pool back to Borders Without Boundaries - making the total dollar amount raised by the Paws to Life Challenge $320. The total weight loss for the canine portion is still being tallied but we are expecting an addition of 400lbs of dog food to be donated to the BWBR dogs from Butler Veterinary Clinic and Hills Science Diet.
We would also like to thank everyone that donated at the BWBR open house including Sue McEvoy and Henderson's IGA for donating and cooking the food!
